Puro: simply light.

Reduced to its essentials the Puro design idiom lends an austere and individual accent to park paths, company premises or in driveways. The three-part, aluminium extruded construction of the housing defines its appearance. Design follows function, without compromise: simply light. A glance upwards reveals a pure silhouette, devoid of connecting elements such as screws or rivets. At its core the Puro is what it was constructed for: light.

Design and finish make the Puro virtually indestructible in everyday use. The fact that it can be mounted on a post or on a wall permits a whole variety of uses. And as if this wasn’t enough, the Puro fulfils the demanding requirements of Protection Class IP 65.

Major order for Hellux Group

On 13th December 2010, DB Station&Service AG, one of the infrastructure companies of the German railway system, Deutsche Bahn AG, signed a contract for the delivery of approx. 14 km of the multifunctional light system 5010 with Hellux Construktions-Licht GmbH. About 30 underground railroad stations will be equipped with the new system as part of the ceiling restoration over the next four years. The order total amounts to several million Euro.

The multifunctional light system 5010 was planned and constructed in accordance with the design of the in-house architectural bureau of I.SBP – Konzeption und Planung of DB Station&Service AG. It is designed for underground railroad platforms and subway stations. The ceiling-mounted multifunctional channel consists of two chambers on top of each other, where the lower chamber houses the lighting units, speakers and cameras, while the upper chamber carries the continuous cables for power and control wires. The modular design allows easy adaptation of the system to meet any specialized local demands.

The Hellux Group provides customer-specific solutions with the highest technological sophistication. Special emphasis in the design of the 5010 was placed on efficiency and sustainability. Maintenance tasks, such as replacement of lamps or reflectors, can be implemented without any tools. Thanks to the special coordinated system of reflector and prism glass, one compact fluorescent lamp T5 at 49 W per module is sufficient to illuminate the railroad platform glare-free and compliant with specifications. The ENEC-certified system will be included in the lamp selection list of Deutsche Bahn AG.

LED-plugin for a safe conversion

Thanks to professional LED conversion kits existing Hellux lights enter the digital age. The familiar body remains unchanged – only the internal elements are new. A conversion kit consists of a mounting plate with LED module, driver unit, matching reflector and connecting lead. The upgrade is simply and quickly accomplished in just a few steps – in the case of some types of light not even a tool is needed.

LED conversion kits are already available for the decorative bell light 032, the spherical light 232 and the mushroom light 417. But the practical changeover necessary for the technical lights 144, 151, 152 and 171 can also be completed without difficulty. LED conversion kits for other types of light will be available shortly.

Hellux has been manufacturing quality lamps “made in Germany“ for over a hundred years. The supply of spares, standardised construction and open modular design represent for the customer a lasting investment and planning security. As producer of LED lights (like the 111 Primus light) Hellux is well-acquainted with the properties of modern LED light technology such as thermomanagement or electrostatic discharge, and uses this know-how in the production of LED conversion kits. For safety reasons lights should only be converted using original parts supplied by the manufacturer.

Regoort - Strong marketing in the Netherlands.

With Regoort, Hellux was able to secure the services of a well-established marketing partner.

Regoort, a company founded in Rotterdam in 1919, will use the collaboration with Hellux to expand the existing lighting business and open new market segments in exterior lighting.

Even today the lighting sector represents an important pillar of Regoort's business operations and will be strengthened further by this collaboration. Regoort and its staff of 25 will operate as Hellux' exclusive and active partner in the Netherlands, and will be the central contact for all marketing aspects of our Dutch customers.

For Hellux, a manufacturer steeped deeply in traditions, this represents a logical and stringent continued development of marketing strategies in the Netherlands, and it is another important step in expanding the international marketing network of the company.

By signing this ground-breaking agreement, both companies have agreed to a long-term partnership, and have thus laid the foundation for continued dynamic growth in the Netherlands.

With this collaboration, the names Regoort and Hellux now jointly represent reliability, quality and top products in the Netherlands, and we look forward to a successful future.

KINDerLEBEN—the society supporting the Berlin clinic for children with cancer (Klinik für krebskranke Kinder e.V., Berlin)—and its volunteers can look back at a lot of successful work since they first started in 1997. The society is operating a day clinic and a clinic for children and teenagers with cancer on the Virchow clinic campus of the Berlin Charité hospital. Apart from researching the fundamentals and therapies, they do everything to make it easier for the children and teenagers to live with their disease and to support their healing process.
